John,

There's a lot of the game still to play, so the question of Hillary Clinton running is probably premature. However, I think she would like to run.

The larger issue is still the Democratic Leadership Council and the New Democrats. The DLC has retreated a bit into the shadows, which is not a good place for them to be. However, their two surrogates, Geithner and Summers, are still on duty.

The detail was excellent. In fact my friends from Boston were all speaking to fact that Coakley didn't cort the black vote.

I also agree that this election caused two things. 1) It is re-igniting the base to remember how they got Obama elected and then became complacent. 2) The democrats have figured that treating the banks with kid gloves is not working. Having Paul Volker involved today is a big step forward.

On the flip side I hear some dem supporters unsatisfied and talking of staying home. Due to the super majority I feel going after HCR was vital, but congress took too long getting their act together.

Finally, I wonder if the banks and their campaign money will desert the Obama and Democratic campaigns. On the flip side putting the banks in line and really selling HCR might re-energize the people enough to make up for the difference.

One question to you. What the chances Hillary Clinton will be persuaded to make a run at Obama in 2012?
