Kate,

Knowing that people don't sometimes have time to read the whole essay online is why I added the print button so you can print it and rad it when and where you want.

Your point is great: this whole thing is orchestrated by the same ad companies that use John Lennon and Bob Dylan to sell shoes. The more interesting question being asked is who is paying them. Several blogs have asked who picked up the tab for the airline tickets of the people in front of the Capitol. In Strange Death I found the records for the Brooks Brothers rioters in the Bush campaign fund records, might be interesting to check some PAC filings.

Haven't read the whole article yet...I will, but I had to comment on the first pic with the sign, "get your hands off my healthcare"

From calling their invasion of Reid's hometown a name that rips off woodstock, using protesting to get their point across, which was just two years ago, the most unpatriotic act in America, to now even appropriating so many of the traditional slogans of the left and completely applying every talking point their corporate handlers give them, I wonder, can these people develop even one original thought or idea?

Its getting sickening really. They should at least pay us if they want to appropriate our work.

Need to find a representative willing to make an issue of the ads. I wonder how many people think those are public service ads?

Pretty good two cents! I think you zero in on an issue I don't hear too many people talk about--drug advertising. Since the drug industry was allowed to advertise, it has been a headache for both doctors and patients.

When you think about it you may have also come upon an idea for getting some movement on the health care bill. Obama proposes to tax "Cadillac" health care plans, but what if instead they taxed the ads? Thinking out loud, the one potential problem would be whether it would violate free speech, especially with a Supreme Court that seems to feel corporations can do whatever they want.
