Welcome to something unusual--a blog that does not feature rants but essays that make you think.
Because my disability no longer permits me to publish three times a week, I have decided to move to a format in which essays will appear as they are written. Sometimes there may be gaps longer than a week which usually means I am unable to write or tied up in other projects.
For those of you new to the site I invite you to explore the content, most of which is still relevant because it does not feature 100 words about what happened yesterday, but in-depth investigations of critical issues such as education, Iraq War suicides, the economic crisis and progressive history.
