Last Minute Questions for the 2008 Election

Here are a few questions for you to ponder as you stand in line waiting to vote or as you ponder the returns.
1. Will $2 gas disappear after the election?
2. Related follow-up: if thesy can lower gas prices by $2 a gallon in a month why can’t they do the same for mortgage foreclosures?
3. Was Joe the Plumber a plant?
4. Why did no one ask Sarah Palin about her religious beliefs? Which church does she really attend?
5. Will the religious right be the sleeper vote of this election or did McCain put them to sleep?
6. If the candidates can raise billions of dollars (combined Presidential and state races) for campaigning, why can’t they raise the same amount of money to solve some of this country’s problems?
7. Are the words Glass-Steagall prohibited?
8. Has everyone forgotten the Blue Dogs and can Obama work with them?
9. Should the media be held responsible for airing false political ads?
10. Why almost a half century after putting people on the moon does America still not have a decent national voting machine law?
11. After “Operation Chaos” what happened to right wing talk radio?
12. Where are the PUMAs?
13. You will hear a lot about America turning from the right to the center, but did it really ever change?
14. How many lawsuits will be filed after the election?
15. Have the American people finally said “No!” to the Era of Bad Feelings?
16. When will we get to go to bed and if the election begins to resemble an Obama win early in the evening (of the ten swing states six are in the East Coast time zone and have the most electoral votes) will the networks try to prolong the results to hold onto viewers?
17. Will the Democrats put together a veto-proof majority in the Senate and if so will they threaten the GOP with the same “nuclear option” the GOP used to threaten them?
18. If McCain loses will the Republican Party move to the center or further to the right?
19. Will Colin Powell have a cabinet position in an Obama Administration?
20. Will “losing Iraq” become a GOP war cry like “losing China” was during the 1950s?
21. Where is Dick Cheney?
