Funny that you quote Wilson. It is full of progressive sentiment.

Rendel has supported the Obama tax plan. In fact some have seen this as a move on his part to become part of the Obama administration. As well know, Feingold lost. Bennett has to prove himself. But since writing this essay I have come to believe that looking for saviors is exactly the wrong strategy. People made that mistake with Obama, who in turn has made the biggest mistake a leader can make--to equate himself with the movement. Dr. King never made that mistake.

What we need is for people to start working fro change themselves, on a local level, and not leave it up to someone else. Get involved in your community. Find a group or cause you believe in and work for it. Your donation to Bennett is admirable, but it is going to take more than money to turn this country around. The rich folks who shoved their tax cuts down our throats depend on us to sit there every night with out remotes rather than participating in this democracy.

Have you thought of Ed Rendel? He's
a brilliant leader and politician (may I use
the word) and would be into new energy
sources & putting them into action (maybe on the White House???) or how
bout Russ Feingold? I personally like
Michael Bennett and have been supporting him with donations through November elections (& he won against the biggest bigot the West has ever lost)
