I think the central failing in modern governments was allowing &quot;politician&quot; to become an occupation, and a lucrative one at that.  It used to be a civic duty, from which you&#039;d return to farming, business, law, etc.</description>

		<description>Keep yelling maybe they will hear. Also do not hesitate to call your local station to protest whatever you see. Stations are required by the FCC to keep logs of viewer complaints and theoretically at least they are supposed to have an impact on license renewal.  

Most local stations DO listen if they get enough complaints. The networks are another story.</description>
